Retired Army Gen. Colin Powell endorses Sen. Barack Obama

In a surprise move by a well respected Republican such as Colin Powell, today he endorsed Sen. Obama in "Meet the press". He called Sen. Obama a transformational figure that will take the United States to new levels in the world's stage. In the same show he critiqued the current Republican Presidential nominee Sen. John McCain and his running mate Gov. Sarah Palin. When asked if his choice was made due to race Mr. Powell responded saying that race had nothing to do with it, but noted that Sen. Obama is going to electrify the country. He also added that on election day he is will be voting for Sen. Obama. Looks like Republicans are loosing their own members from within. We'll see what happens.
